We've had our Noesis Florio for 6 months now. I was online looking for consumables, and thought I would put down our thoughts. This is our first robot vacuum, but I am an I.T. guy, and not easily impressed. I've seen the recent videos of a robot vacuum with an arm to pick up certain small items and place them in a designated area, but that just seems like a novelty. It seems like that would be of very limited use, as I would think that you would still want to walk around and do other cleaning prep tasks, pushing in chairs, pickup up bed spread edges so it knows to go under the bed, etc. After all, what happens when it tries to pick up the cat? LOL! :-) The Florio automatically empties itself, changes to a clean mop pad from a stack, discarding the old mop pad in a compartment, wets the new mop pad with cleaning solution/water mix, automatically senses what type of surface it's on and vacuums and/or mops, and does an excellent job of getting pretty close to obstacles without running into/over them. We initially had it get stuck a couple times trying to climb the super-thick, cushy, therapeutic kitchen floor mat that I bought my Fiance', but it seems to have learned how to negotiate it, and it even knows it's the type of surface that it can mop. I just asked my Fiance' how she rates our Noesis after 6 months, 0-10, and she gives it a solid 10.We do own a very big, furry "Maine Coon" breed of cat, and we do open the little access door to the spindle, remove it, and pick off the hair that has wrapped around it, probably about monthly. I'm no engineer, so I don't know how one would design an effective vacuum without a spinning brush to go with the suction, and not have it wrap up some hair as it goes. I have very sensitive skin and feet, and I can actually feel the difference on the floors after a cleaning cycle. The software is intuitive and flexible, allowing you to select about every option I can think of, including various levels of cleaning/suction power, quiet mode, and a cool floor map it creates of your home, showing you the location of the cleaner, progress paths, even criss-cross patterns if you choose more thorough cleaning. I'm particularly impressed that when it goes under our bed, how close and how well it circles the feet.Good luck with whatever you decide, and may God bless you and yours.
