These paintbrushes are not "tiny", they aren't miniatures for dolls, but they are great to paint miniatures or dolls :) Perhaps the sizes weren't listed previously but they were when I purchased them. I got the mix of 3 sizes (small=0, medium=00, large=000).The dimensions I measured for the brushes are: small (1mm wide and 5-7mm long), medium (1.5mm wide and 9-10mm long), large (2mm wide and 12-13mm long) and just the wood/metal handle is roughly 15.5cm long. So the description is accurate, although the width wasn't listed.When I compare these brushes to the smallest brushes in a regular/standard set of paintbrushes, these are far better. It seems in a regular ole set, the smaller brushes just have less bristles as they get smaller or the same amount and they just get shorter. These brushes have a good amount, so it is thicker at the base and then thin out to make a point at the top.I thought after getting the mix of brushes that I should have just gone with the small size, but I changed my mind after realizing I could just trim down the longer ones. I could even cut the bristles flat across or at an angle to make different brushes. They can even be bent at the metal part to make an angled handle. So getting the mixed brushes actually gave me more options than I thought.The quality is good, yes, especially for the price. They don't shed, even when I push and twirl in the water (they obviously become more um, "fluffy" after that though). They are great for watercolor and oil, they are nylon but almost seem like a synthetic hair, especially after pushing and twirling :) Also good for acrylics too, since as I mentioned they have a good amount of bristles and aren't too thin. The wood handles are a little rough and could be snapped in half if you are trying to do that, but I'm not sure what you could be painting using that amount of pressure with detail brushes. They also aren't labeled but seriously (there are only 3 sizes), do they need to be? They are attached really well at the metal part, they are crimped and glued on. These brushes should last you awhile, given you don't soak them too long, forget to clean them right away, or lose them. But I tend to do those things, so it's good there are 60 of them!I am in no way a professional in art or brushes. I just wanted to share with other paintbrush novices these things, so they can save themselves some time searching stuff up. So I will also share this tidbit from google, in case you didn't get the size stuff from the start (me): Artists' brushes are usually given numbered sizes, although there is no exact standard for their physical dimensions. From smallest to largest, the sizes are: 20/0, 12/0, 10/0, 7/0, 6/0, 5/0, 4/0 (also written 0000), 000, 00, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 25, 26, 28, 30.
