I've had this vacuum for right at 2 years. I use it on laminate wood flooring only. After about 1 month of use, the plastic piece broke that supports the hose at the handle (as other reviewers have mentioned). It didn't seem to make a huge difference so I didn't worry about it and used it like that for 2 years. Finally, a week ago, the cord snapped right at the canister. I ordered replacement parts - a hose/handle, the floor attachment (mine was dirty and just needed to be replaced), then got new filters - spent around $80 to get it back into top shape. I installed the parts and it works like new again. Hoping to get another couple of years of use.I have 4 children so I vacuum daily. There are a lot of crumbs, paper, dust, etc, and it works well for cleaning up all of that. Suction is good, noise is about average, retractable cord still works perfectly, and canister is easy to remove and empty, then reattach. This is used in my kitchen and living room so the crumbs and mess are heavy. I try to avoid large particles or wet food (eggs, vegetables, etc) because those will cause buildup on the attachment.Great, affordable vacuum for laminate flooring. Would recommend!
